Catherine Elizabeth - When someone you love becomes a memory the memory becomes a treasure. Catherine Elizabeth Izzard (de Montmorency) passed away on February 9, 2016 at the age of 64, surrounded by her loving family. She is predeceased by her husband and best friend Doug. She leaves behind her 3 children Pam (Stuart), Paula (Rob), and Michael (Sarah). Cathy will be missed by her adored grandchildren Nya and Oliver. She leaves behind her brother Rick Izzard (Lynda), sisters Debbie Swiech (Rick), Denise Grygorcewicz (John), Dianne May (Scott) and little brother Tom Izzard (Sherri). Cathy has many nieces and nephews to remember her. Cathy also leaves behind many close friends that she has made over the years. Cathy was an elementary primary teacher for 36 years, first in Oxford County, then in Thames Valley. It was a career that she loved. Hopefully there are some fond memories of "Ms. Izzard's" class. The service to celebrate Cathy's life will be held at Norwich United Church on Wednesday February 17, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. Reception to follow. Please wear bright colours and come prepared to tell funny stories about Cathy's life. This will be a celebration of her life. As expressions of sympathy, donations may be made to Parkinson Society.
