Joan Ellen - Peacefully, with her loving family by her side, at VON Sakura House, Woodstock on Tuesday May 26, 2015, Joan Avey of Tillsonburg, formerly of RR#1 Otterville, at the age of 81. Beloved wife of the late Glen Avey (2012). Loving mother of Randy of Tillsonburg, Jill Avey-Thorne and husband Ken of Ingersoll. She will be sadly missed by her grandchildren Shayna Avey, Sarah and Justin Avey, and great-grandddaughter Aaliyah Roberts. Dear sister of Rosalee Ashcroft and husband Bruce of Tillsonburg. Survived by several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by parents Henry and Daisy Ash, brother Henry Ash, sister Marion Chambers and husband Ross. Friends will be received at THE ARN-LOCKIE FUNERAL HOME, 45 Main St. W., Norwich (519) 863-3020 on Thursday 2 - 4 and 7 - 9 p.m. Funeral service to honour Joan's life will be held on Friday May 29, 2015 at 10:30 a.m. with Rev. Allan Burr officiating. Interment to follow at Delhi Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, donations may be made to VON Sakura House, Tillsonburg District Memorial Hospital Foundation, or Woodstock Hospital Foundation.
