Meta Gwendolyne - At Parkview Meadows, on Tuesday, July 12, 2016, Meta Lester of Townsend, Ontario, in her 87th year. Beloved wife of the late John Lester (2012). Loving mother of Bob and his wife Marie of LaSalette, Read and his wife Helen of Simcoe, Greg and his wife Karen of Midhurst and Dianne Broker and her husband Gerald of Simcoe. Cherished grandmother of 14, and many great grandchildren. Dear sister to Willa Wilson of Norwich and Charles (Carol) Fletcher of Hanover. Predeceased by sister Laura Hanson and brothers-in-law Bruce Hanson and Robert Wilson. Meta loved to refinish furniture and had a great love for antiques. She was a charter member of the Woodstock Probus Club. Friends will be received at the ARN-LOCKIE FUNERAL HOME, 45 Main Street West, Norwich 519-863-3020, on Thursday, July 14th, 2016 from 2 -4 and 7 -9 p.m. Funeral services to celebrate Meta's life will be held at the Norwich United Church on Friday, July 15th, 2016 at 11 a.m. Interment at the Norwich Cemetery. As an expression of sympathy, donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Society or the Norwich United Church.
