Peter - At Tillsonburg District Memorial Hospital on Sunday March 1, 2015, Peter Vanderweerd of Norwich, formerly of RR#2 Burgessville, at the age of 90. Beloved husband of Paulina (Byl). Dear father of the late Bert (2012) and his wife Corina of Norwich, Len and wife Hendrika of Norwich, Henny and husband Dirk Van Esch of Otterville, May Newell of London, Joe and wife Patricia of Tillsonburg, Alice and husband Adam Kopala of London, Henry and wife Marcella of Norwich, Emma and husband Calvin Walsh of Brantford, Esther and husband Dave Van Manen of Norwich, Evelyn and husband Ross Derksen of Waupun WI. He will be missed by his 43 grandchildren and 28 great-grandchildren. Brother of Albert and wife Annie, Hennie and husband Marinus Schilder, Truus Vanderweerd, and sister-in-law Alie Vanderweerd, all of The Netherlands. Predeceased by sister Aaltje, brothers Henk, Johannes and wife Coba. Friends will be received at THE ARN-LOCKIE FUNERAL HOME, 45 MaIn St. W., Norwich (519) 863-3020 on Tuesday 2 - 4 and 7 - 9 p.m. Funeral service will be held at The Heritage Reformed Church, Burgessville on Wednesday March 4, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. D.V. Rev. D. Lipsy officiating. Later interment at Burgessville Baptist Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, donations may be made to Canadian Cancer Society.
