Passed away peacefully at Brantford General Hospital - palliative care on Tuesday, February 12, 2019 in his 89th year. Predeceased by his wife Maria Schut (deJongh) 2013. Loving father of Marian and her husband Bert VanVliet of Norwich, Ria and her husband Reynold Jansen of Tillsonburg, Ralph and his wife Janet Schut of Springford, Gerrie and his wife Linda Schut of Brantford, Wilma and her husband Mike McEachern of Brantford, Rennie and his wife Wilma Schut of Hastings, Ann and her husband Alan Dyer of Brantford. He will be sadly missed by his 27 grandchildren, 32 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great granddaughter. Predeceased by a son Roefie, a grandson Randy Jansen, and a great-grandson Justin Klyn. Family and friends will be received at the ARN-LOCKIE FUNERAL HOME, 45 Main Street West, Norwich, ON, 519-863-3020 on Thursday, February 14, 2019 from 2-4 & 7-9 pm and at the HERITAGE REFORMED CONGREGATION, 685 Main Street South, Burgessville, ON, on Friday, February 15, 2019 from 10-10:45 AM. Funeral service will be held at the church at 11 AM, with Pastor David Lipsy Officiating, D.V. Spring interment will be at the Burgessville Baptist Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Oxford Reformed Christian School or Sumba Mission.
