Robert (Bob) William ~ It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Robert (Bob) Parkhill of Norwich, Ontario in his 75th year on Tuesday, September 25, 2018. Predeceased by his parents Hugh (Pete) and Jean Parkhill. Survived and will be dearly missed by his brothers Jim (Debbie) of Aurora, ON and Doug (Vicki) of Duncan BC, as well as his nieces and nephews.
Bob was a farmer, proud of his heritage and the land that was farmed by his father and grandfather for more than 100 years. Always ready to comment on the price of corn or politics, Bob never complained about his own frailty, and met each challenge with...â€Oh well, it's just another pebble on the rocky road of lifeâ€. The family would like to thank all of the many friends and neighbours who cared and helped Bob and would like to extend special gratitude to Glen and Nancy Yates.
Family and friends were received at the ARN-LOCKIE FUNERAL HOME, 45 Main Street West, Norwich, ON 519-863-3020, on Friday, September 28, 2018 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm, and Saturday, September 29, 2018 from 10-10:45 am. Memorial service was held at the funeral home at 11 am, with Reverend Sydney Elias officiating. Cremation. Reception to follow at the Norwich United Church. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Bob may be made to the Norwich United Church or to a charity of your choice.
