Passed away suddenly but peacefully at the Norfolk General Hospital, Simcoe, Ontario on Thursday, March 14th, 2019. Survived by dear husband Wayne of 49 years. Loving mother of Amanda McKenzie (nee Pearce). Proudest Nana of Avery & Isabel McKenzie. She is survived by sisters Ann Newroth of Gravenhurst and Jane Hilton of London. Predeceased by her parents, Frederick and Margaret Skerratt. She was a nanny in New York, worked in insurance & advertising, framed artwork and was a talented interior decorator. She loved cats, gardening, quilting & sewing. She created many special quilts for family, friends and those in need through Sewing Seeds, Brantford. She was a faithful volunteer at the Willett Hospital and Telfer Place in Paris. She was also active in the Paris Horticulture Society for many years. As per her wishes, cremation has taken place, with a private family service at a later date. As expressions of sympathy, donations can be made to the Simcoe and District Humane Society or the Salvation Army.
