Dora Frances (nee: Lee) ~ Dora passed away peacefully in her sleep, on Wednesday October 10, in her 101st year, at the Tillsonburg District Memorial Hospital. Loving mother of David Gilmour and his wife Alison of Calgary, and Marilynne Orth, of London.
Cherished by her 5 grandchildren, Jeff Gilmour (Calgary), Scott Orth and Meghan Roushorne (Vancouver), Duane and Tracy Orth (London), Steven Gilmour and Shana Perry (Edmonton), Marni and Louie Santino (Mississauga) and her 13 great-grandchildren.
Lovingly remembered by nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Predeceased by her parents, Frances (nee Griswould) and William Lee and by her husband Allan, her brothers Ollie and Percy, sister Flossie, son Grant and grand-daughter Michelle.
Dora loved her family deeply and cherished the time spent with them, often reminiscing of the years her four grandsons worked for the summer on their apple orchard in Burgessville, Ontario. She treasured the 61 years of marriage she had with her husband Al, the singing they did in younger years, the many friendships they had in the community and the wonderful trips they enjoyed in their later years.
She will be missed by family and friends far and wide. A private family celebration of Dora's life will be held at a later date. Cremation. Donations in Dora's memory may be made to a charity of your choice.
