Passed away suddenly but peacefully at the Norfolk General Hospital, Simcoe, Ontario on Thursday, March 14th, 2019. Survived by dear husband Wayne of 49 years. Loving mother of Amanda McKenzie (nee Pearce). Proudest Nana of Avery & Isabel McKenzie. She is survived by sisters Ann Newroth of Gravenhurst and Jane Hilton of London. We are writing on behalf of Mom - Auntie Lillian and Dad - Uncle Don Lowens. Sandy was a bright and shining "light" in so many people's lives. Her personality "oozed" from deep within her beautiful soul. We will treasure our precious memories of Sandy.
Her infectious laugh, her kindness, her gentleness, her grace, her beauty on both the inside and outside, her love of cats, of gardening and of her hobbies, her love of family and friends and her compassion for others IS imprinted in our hearts. We shall miss her forever. We love you Sandy.

We extend heartfelt sympathies to Sandy's family - Wayne, Amanda, Avery and Isabel; to Sandy's sisters - Ann Newroth and Jane Hilton and their families and to Wayne's brother and his family. As E.E. Cummins writes, "I carry your heart. I carry it in my heart."

How I am missing my friend Sandy. Always a bright sparkling smile and a good laugh. (the greatest laugh). Her many talents with decorating, sewing and her beautiful garden. How proud she was of her daughter and 2 granddaughters. Our monthly "ladies lunches" with Anne and oh how we talked and laughed. She was kind and caring to all, helping out when ever she could. Before she left the Paris Horticultural Society for her move to Simcoe she found people to take care of all her responsibilities. What an an amazing lady.

I am a cousin of Sandy's. I was always pleased to have the opportunity to visit with her. She was so loving, so kind, so thoughtful, so accepting, so reliable and so much fun. When we dropped in, she made time for us as if she knew that we were coming. Her laugh was distinctive, her artistic flair (quilts, gardens, home decorating...) were truly outstanding - and there was always that twinkle in her eye. Love truly flowed around Sandy. My sincere sympathies to Wayne, Jane, Ann, Amanda, Avery and Isabel. Such a loss. My heart reaches out to you.

I will miss Sandy every day. She brought life and love to everyone she met and was always ready to lend a helping to so many. Her beautiful smile and cheerful laugh is etched in my mind forever.
I loved her like a sister. Marg Lancaster
